Center-invest Bank and Child and Youth Finance International (CYFI) have signed an agreement on international cooperation to increase the financial literacy of children and young people.
Under the agreement, the bank’s “Enterprise for All” online portal (school.centrinvest.ru/en) will be included in the global electronic library of the international Youth Co project. This will become one of the largest training platforms and online communities for young entrepreneurs from around the world.
Through its partnership with CYFI, Center-invest Bank will also draw on international experience and apply best practice when delivering training for young people at the Financial Literacy Centre in Rostov-on-Don.
Another area for cooperation is mentoring. Through CYFI’s Coaching programme new entrepreneurs can obtain advice from experienced mentors from relevant industries in different countries. Center-invest Bank staff and customers will mentor and advise entrepreneurs from abroad who are hoping to enter the southern Russian market.
Under CYFI’s Youth Exchange Programme Center-invest Bank and CYFI will provide schoolchildren and students with opportunities to participate in international forums on financial education, share their experience of peer education, and replicate this experience in their own regions.
The SchoolBank programme, which is being introduced in southern Russia with support from Center-invest Bank, is a partnership to develop pilot banking programmes to increase the financial literacy of children and young people. It will focus on developing and applying modern banking and information technologies. The various channels will include school-based bank outlets, pre-paid cards, and mobile banking. Center-invest Bank’s sustainable banking business model aims to introduce new knowledge and new technologies in the interests of future generations. The bank’s social and educational projects are designed to increase the importance attached to quality education in Russia today and to introduce and expand financial education in particular.
