In business negotiations between Russian and Chinese delegates in Rostov-on-Don on 1-2 June, the chairman of Center-invest Bank’s Board of Directors, Dr Vasily Vysokov, highlighted that Center-invest Bank was the first in southern Russia to establish a correspondent banking relationship with China’s 5th largest bank by assets, the Bank of Communications (June 2011). We were also one of the first in the region to start handling transactions in Chinese yuan for business customers trading internationally.
In May 2016 Center-invest Bank became a member of the Russian-Chinese Financial Council. This was with the aim of further expanding our cooperation with Chinese financial and credit institutions.
The Mayor of the People’s Government of Yantai praised Center-invest Bank’s work to increase financial literacy and provide training for university students and graduates. She was impressed by the bank’s free online training course “Enterprise for All”, which she will now be recommending to the residents of her city. The “Enterprise for All” course was created by Center-invest Bank to increase knowledge about the economy and entrepreneurship. It comprises 12 modules with practical follow-up exercises and questions so that learners can check their understanding.
To date, 22,000 people from around the world have registered on the school.centrinvest.ru portal. The course is currently available in Russian, English and Chinese. German, French and Portuguese versions will be added in July. For user convenience, Center-invest Bank has launched a mobile app for the course (Russian language only), which is available through the App Store and Google Play.
